Honoring Pastor Scott and Sarah MacLeod, Pastors of Harvest Sound Church Downtown Nashville Clinton St. Community and Family
Pastor Scott and Sarah MacLeod of Harvest Sound Church in downtown Nashville have dedicated their time and life to serve and create not just a community but an authentic family of Jesus loving, Kingdom seeking, lovers of the Word and the way of God. Harvest Sound Church located in downtown Nashville is an intimate yet impactful church just off of Clinton St. near Broadway in downtown Nashville that was started about thirty-one years ago by Pastors Scott and Sarah MacLeod. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, along with the elders and staff of this church, Pastors Scott and Sarah have created a spiritually safe and physically welcoming family environment for all who find themselves within the Harvest Sound community. Not only have they established a church and flourishing community but they have also created a training school called the Harvest Sound Intensive for young adults to cultivate discipleship and evangelism training for students all over the world! They dedicate their lives to Kingdom impact, whether in person or through their ministries, Pastors Scott and Sarah MacLeod have encouraged and encountered many people and nations. Harvest Sound is the overarching church supporting Jesus Mission a ministry their son Daniel MacLeod has spear headed. Jesus Mission is 3 ministries with one mission , which works to put love in action and active young adults to their calling, and through the weekly community dinner, Meal of Hope, which is their local outreach to the less fortunate. Pastors Scott and Sarah’s love for the “least of these” has been the framework for how those who serve under them have done ministry and to live out James 1 definition of pure religion to look after the “least of these” and most vulnerable populations.
Since the start, Pastors Scott and Sarah’s hearts have continually focused on seeking the will of God. From writing letters and prophetic encouragements for nations in the form of books to fellow brothers and sisters in Brazil and Switzerland like Diamonds of Brazil by Scott MacLeod, and A Lion of Light by Scott MacLeod to writing about the Christian music industry Snakes in the Lobby, the Pastor Scott has sought to be attentive hearing in the Word of the Lord. With a burning passion to encourage creativity within the children of God, pastor Scott and Sarah have made sure to implement and encourage all levels of creativity within their church believing that we are all given gifts to which to glorify the Lord with. Coming from a musical background, in the Christian music industry, Pastor Scott specifically also makes worship and creating a new sound a huge part of their church ministry, not just making music but also mentoring and pouring into musicians. The name of the church “Harvest Sound” even resonates with this value to raise up, as Pastor Scott would say, “musicianaries” to share His love and compassion to bring in those that are lost without knowing Jesus and are as the Bible describes the “end time harvest.”
They have also raised two children, Emily & Daniel, who are active members of the church and its ministries, Pastor Scott and Sarah have not shied away from being examples of faith not just to their biological children but to those spiritual children whom they have taken under their wing. Their belief is that the Lord had something to say back then and He has something to say now. Together they believe that in order to do ministry and do it to the full as children of the Most High God we have to be willing to walk whole, healed, and confident in our God-given identities. Father God has put a passion, and also now a ministry in their hearts to lead His children into their original design which is wholeness and healing in body, soul, and spirit, thus their Inside Out ministry. Pastor Sarah has pioneered and spear headed this ministry. Founded in Biblical principles and techniques have led many to break free and live free. After walking many young men and women through spiritual and emotional healing and breakthrough, Pastor Sarah decided in 2020 to start writing a book and now it’s finally here!!
