Meal of Hope
Overview
Meal of Hope started in 1996 as a “love-feast” for the Nashville community. The idea came from when Pastor Scott MacLeod was reading Luke 14:12-14. We meet every Thursday at 5pm to get trained and equipped then we open the door to the guest at 5:30 sharp. This is not ministering to the poor, it’s ministering with the poor!
THERE ARE OVER 20,000 PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS IN NASHVILLE.
“Then Jesus said to his host, ‘When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,
and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.’”
LUKE 14:12-14
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me”

The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
